Emerald Obedience and Protection was founded out of a deep love for dogs—and a powerful realization of what they’re truly capable of when properly trained and fulfilled.

After three years of focusing exclusively on obedience training, our founder took a life-changing step: importing a German Shepherd from Germany. What began as a passion quickly turned into a calling when she was introduced to the world of real working dogs.

With minimal experience in protection work but a deep desire to learn, she enrolled her dog in protection classes with a trusted trainer she’d worked with for years. It was there the pieces began to fall into place—the bond between handler and dog, the responsibility of control, and the unmatched value of a trained protection dog in today’s world.

After becoming a certified K9 trainer, she pursued advanced education in decoy work and the intricate art of creating civil personal protection dogs—dogs that don’t just bite gear, but understand and respond to real threats.

Today, Emerald Obedience and Protection stands as a product of dedication, continuous learning, and real-world experience. We’re proud to offer lifetime training programs designed to bring the best out of every dog—whether it’s a mini Aussie or a Malinois.
